A fresh chapter
Rooted in New Rochelle. Built for what’s next.
Traditional Bagel Café has long been part of New Rochelle’s morning rhythm. Today, it enters a fresh chapter as a minority-owned, family-owned neighborhood business led by New Rochelle native Prince A. Sanders.
Prince’s roots run deep here. He attended New Rochelle Day Nursery, Daniel Webster Magnet School and Albert Leonard Junior High School before building a career in hospitality and the arts. He is also the author of two children’s books inspired by his life, with New Rochelle woven into their setting and spirit.
His husband, Petar, leads the café’s day-to-day operations and is the familiar face many guests will see behind the counter. Together, they are raising two young daughters and shaping the café for the next generation of New Rochelle families.
We are renewing the café—from the counters and display cases to the uniforms and guest experience—while protecting what matters most: fresh food, familiar faces and genuine hospitality for longtime regulars, new neighbors and generations still to come.
